How To Brew
Inspired on some recipe found on “How to Brew: Everything You Need To Know To Brew Beer Right The First Time” by John J. Palmer, this is some sort of All grain Brown Ale.
I love to test and try different ideas, so that’s why you’ll find lots of “sort of” recipes in this site.
So here we go, I’ve tried this long ago, it was in middle summer, it was hot, and I loved it.
For 5 gallons Mash
- 7,5 lbs. of Base Malt
- 1 lb. of Crystal 60
- 1/3 lb. of Chocolate Malt
- 1 oz of Willamette hops @ 15′
- 1,5 oz. of Willamette hops @ 30′
- Cooper’s Ale Yeast
OG: 1052
FG: 1014
It was a nice simple beer, and the Chocolate Malt gave it some nice color.
