Oops! I Brew It Again!
Once in a while, I like to look back and remember old brewing mistakes. It helps me not to bump on the same rock twice, but you see, that works ONLY IF, the second rock doesn’t show before you take that time to look back.
I frequently go to some friend’s house to brew, cause that way they get in touch with the process, and maybe join the “club” with me. The batch stays under that friend’s care, and when it’s ready, we split 50/50 the produce.
Last year I tried some barley wine recipe, and it was my first time. I didn’t want to lose it, so used a little too much yeast and as a result, on the first night half the batch was spread on the garage’s floor. The air-lock didn’t hold the pressure, and we lost it.
Well, that was last year, but this year I went farther and did the same thing… but inside the house. Yeap, and as if it wasn’t farther enough, I did it on my girlfriend’s place. Nice way to spice up a relationship. Sorry I didn’t take any photo to share with you people, but I was so nervous I just grab some mop and start cleaning floors, walls and ceiling… yes, ceiling.
